Moringa Soap Why natural soap

The skin is the largest organ of the body. Whatever goes onto the skin enters the bloodstream, unlike food, which gets processed through the digestive system and filtered through various other organs before the end product reaches the bloodstream and thus providing some form of protection.

In general, soap seems to be the answer for cleanliness, especially in this germ-afraid society. Unfortunately, many products we use as soap are nothing more than a cocktail of chemicals and detergents stripping the skin of healthy oils and entering the bloodstream with a direct effect on our health.

Most commercially available soap bars and body washes are artificially fragranced. The fragrances come from chemicals, and most of these products are laden with detergents, preservatives, and questionable ingredients, hence the ever-growing need for moisturizing body washes, lotions, and other forms of skin nourishment. Many people are deficient in saturated fats and have a dry skin from the inside out, most soap bars are also stripped of the glycerine made in the soap making process. This leads to an unbalanced soap that pulls moisture out of the skin.

While we think we are nourishing our skin with a lovely infusion of flowers we are usually just stripping our skins natural oils and exposing our larges organ to hundreds of chemicals. In fact, the average person is exposed to over 100 chemicals before even leaving the bathroom in the morning.

Our current tendency to use antibacterial soaps are causing even more damage. If you consider that they only kill bacteria and not viruses, with a claim of killing 99.9%, it then poses the question, how potent is the 0.1% and what further damage can it do.

Triclosan, the chemical in most antibacterial soaps has been shown to interact with chlorine in the water to form chloroform gas and has been shown to act as a hormone disruptor, especially in children.

Bacteria is not at all bad, our entire body thrives on bacteria, by killing the good and bad bacteria we literally throw the baby out with the bathwater.
